Loch View Cottage has been operated as a self catering unit attached to the Clan Morrison Hotel for over 30 years. In July 2005 we stayed at the hotel and liked it so much we bought the cottage! The sale went through in December and we spent 6 months renovating and upgrading the accommodation. The hotel is now closed to business and is the home of the Morrison family.
We intend to let the cottage for a few years until we are ready to leave the pressures of Edinburgh to our two sons Calum and David and move to the most beautiful area in Scotland. We have tried to provide everything that is required for a comfortable stay and hope that out guests find the area as captivating as we have.
HELP PLEASE! We often see otters around the cottage and I have taken several photographs but when I look at the pictures I usually find that there is no otter on them. I have endless pictures of the sea and grass but they always seem to move too fast. This is the best I have taken and it shows an otter swimming down the burn at the side of the house but its not a great photo and we would very much welcome any pictures of otters or pine martens at the cottage from guests with more skill in the camera department. The otter photograph elsewhere on this website was taken by Robert who captured the image at Loch View the year before our arrival so its a slight cheat!
