Loch View Cottage has been operated as a self catering unit attached to the Clan Morrison Hotel for over 30 years. In July 2005 we stayed at the hotel and liked it so much we bought the cottage! The sale went through in December and we spent 6 months renovating and upgrading the accommodation. The hotel is now closed to business and in a derilict condition. Sian and Alan Morrison live in the partt of the old hotel which is furethest from the Cottage.

We intend to let the cottage for a few years until we are ready to leave the pressures  of Edinburgh to our two sons Calum and David and move to the most beautiful area in Scotland. We have tried to provide everything that is required for a comfortable stay and hope that out guests find the area as captivating as we have.The 5th Family member is Jura, she is a big girl now but when she was a pup she used to fetch the fish suppers.

The otter and pine marten also seem like family members, thanks to Madge for the great photo of the pine marten (taken from the lounge window). The otter is seen here at the side of the cottage swimming down the burn. In our experience otters and pine martens are quite prolific but trhe pine martens are easily attracted and not hard to photograph while the otters always appear when you dont have a camera!
